Temporary Raw Materials Specialist, Trims (3-month contract)

Position Overview

To team with Senior Specialist and provide best in class Trim for region including R&D support along with handling any special projects as needed. Perform duties according to established procedures, with independent and collaborative decision making. Responsible to drive effective communication on development follow up with vendors, maintenance accurate tracking charts, assuring Trim is compliant with RLC standards with respect to approvals, policies and regulations. Additionally, the Trim Specialist will play a key role in managing data within the PLM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records that support the overall development process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of industry changes, market intelligence, fashion trends, new resources and opportunities.
• Partner with Senior Specialist to develop new resources of trims that enhance product performance and minimize cost and lead-time.
• Drive effective and efficient communication internal and with external suppliers to hand-off.
• Work with vendors with best performance of capacities, costing and delivery.
• Alert management and US business associates on high-risk areas, which may impact on production and future business.
• Be responsible for maintenance of accurate tracking charts of Product Development, lead-time, price, OTB dates, submit due dates, etc.,
• Work with vendors to present solutions to both US team and management.
• Ensure product quality meets the defined quality standard, ensure trims are approved on time for production and communicate any delivery delays for management approvals.
• Manage Calendar among different group to control internal calendar.
• Take initiative, lead and support project.
• Establish good relationships with major vendors and business associates around the globe.
• Communicate clearly on objectives and to maintain process efficiencies and meet business goals and requirements.
• Organize and maintain trim digital library.
• Request, receive and validate trim detail sheets from suppliers; Create / update material ID at PLM.
• Attend meetings and take notes as needed.
• Maintain all trim records including specification lead time and trim pricing.
• Send and track packages when necessary.
• Immediate availability preferred.
