Digital editor, PostMag (Freelance)

About the team : South China Morning Post (SCMP) is looking for a freelance digital editor / writer to edit and produce stories for PostMag’s digital and social media channels.

This position will be an office-based role, two days per week.

PostMag is the South China Morning Post’s weekly Sunday magazine.

Across print, digital and social, PostMag offers readers both short-form and long-form content that dives into lifestyle topics across culture, travel, food and drink, wellness and passions.

In this role, you will :   Write two to three online articles per day on topics across contemporary culture and lifestyle Use SEO best practices to optimise content for search engines Contribute to PostMag’s social media strategy and content Stay up-to-date with digital media trends Manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively Skills and experience and qualities that will lead to success : Fluent in English with excellent writing and editing skills A love for tight deadlines and quick turnaround Demonstrated track record in growing an online audience with insightful, witty and useful content Genuine interest in contemporary culture and lifestyle Knowledge of SEO best practices preferred Ability to meet deadlines Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
