Research Assistant (3D Artist / Game Developer for Marine AR)

The Department of Ocean Science is seeking a skilled Animator & Illustrator to join our project team. If you have a passion for bringing characters to life through animation and illustration, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and contribute to educational animations in marine habitats and life.

Job responsibilities :

• Create captivating animations that effectively communicate the features and personalities of our characters for social media with targeting young adults;
• Develop high-quality 2D / 3D characters / visualisation of marine habitats and animals;
• Collaborate with our design team to conceptualise and produce storyboards for the games and other learning materials;
• Demonstrate strong artistic and creative graphic skills, exercising independent judgement and making aesthetic decision;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in animation and illustration techniques, and bring fresh ideas to our projects;
• Collaborate with other teams to design and facilitate integrated communication, implementation of project promotion and management;
• Conduct other ad-hoc activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator.
