The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

The Senior Manager, CAD and BIM Management is responsible for evaluating and overseeing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) submissions from relevant consultants, contractors, and other external parties. This role focuses on creating efficient documentation processes and integrating of CAD and BIM practices across all capital projects for Projects Division of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority.

You will be responsible for :

reviewing and updating the district-wide guideline of Digital Execution Plan (DCP) and Virtual Construction Model Requirement (VCMR) developed by the Authority;

conducting detailed assessments of project report documentation, CAD and BIM submissions from relevant consultants, contractors and other external parties to ensure compliance with district-wide guidelines;

developing and implementing proposals and procedures for recording and registering drawing submissions for current and future capital projects;

proposing, implementing and integrating practical BIM strategies and workflows throughout the project lifecycle;

managing and resolving all CAD and BIM related matters within Projects Division;

preparing BIM models as needed, under the direction of responsible General Managers or Chief Managers graded staff of Projects Division;

reporting on BIM coordination progress to the senior management of Projects Division;

liaising with and direct staff, including Innovation and Technology Department, of the Authority, tasked with assisting in CAD and BIM data management;

liaising with District Facility Services Department of the Authority to hand over project documentation, CAD and BIM models prepared by relevant consultants, contractors and other external parties of capital projects;

establishing an effective internal records system for CAD and BIM data that is easily accessible and user-friendly for other users and / or operational departments of the Authority;

liaising with external parties, not limited to Government, institutional and commercial organizations, for any CAD and BIM related matters as assigned if required; and

performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.

You should :

possess a recognised university degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent;

preferably have BIM professional qualifications from HKIBIM and / or CIC -Certified BIM Manager ;

have at least 8 years of post-qualification experience with at least 5 years’ experience at supervisory level ;

demonstrate extensive experience in CAD, BIM and data management, and familiarity with Autodesk BIM Solutions, Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo;

have strong time management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct research and provide actionable recommendations;

be familiar with Government or institutional projects, particularly large-scale development; experience in art and cultural facilities would be an advantage;

have experience in adoption of BIM for building plan preparation and submission to the Buildings Department would be an advantage;

have experience with 3D graphics and spatial visualization techniques to support digital twin visualization is highly desirable; and

have excellent oral and written communications skills.
