Theyre seeking a Lead Low-Latency Engineer to drive the design and optimization of high-performance risk systems. Youll collaborate with quantitative and product teams to build scalable JVM-based services that power real-time financial analytics and trading operations.
What Youll Do
Architect and develop low / zero-GC, high-throughput backend systems in Java
Collaborate with quants to implement and optimize risk models (VaR, SPAN, etc.)
Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and reliability
Set engineering standards, conduct reviews, and mentor junior developers
What Were Looking For
10+ years in backend engineering, strong command of Java and JVM internals
Proven experience with low-latency architectures and microservices design
Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and modern databases (Postgres, MongoDB, BigQuery)
Solid understanding of financial products and risk methodologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
Experience with Kotlin, Chronicle Queue, event-sourced systems, or cloud infrastructure.
