Sales Associate (3-Month Contract with Opportunity to Extend)

The South China Morning Post is seeking an agile and dynamic Sales Associate to join our team in Hong Kong.

The Sales team at South China Morning Post plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and business expansion.

Purpose of the Position : As a Sales Associate at SCMP, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for Hong Kong's most trusted publisher.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for media and client relations and will be flexible, agile, and dynamic.

Job Responsibilities : Proactively pursue and achieve SME sales targets.

Take ownership of SME client relationships throughout the entire sales cycle, including lead qualification, engagement, proposal presentation, deal closure, and ongoing client management.

Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in SMEs.

Send emails and make telephone calls to prospective clients on the lead list.

Manage and regularly update a database of potential SME clients.

Collaborate closely with the Ad Operations team to ensure effective campaign delivery.

Skills and Experience :    University graduate.

A minimum of 2 years of experience, ideally in sales or account servicing; exposure to telemarketing is an advantage.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Cantonese, along with strong presentation abilities.

• Results-oriented, self-motivated, and well-organised.

Able to work under pressure and effectively prioritise tasks.   Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills; dedicated to fostering a positive team culture.

Ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of the SME landscape is a plus.    This role requires working three (3) days a week at our office in Causeway Bay.

There is an opportunity for this role to be extended to full-time, depending on performance, at the end of the three-month contract.
