Assistant Technical Manager

What this job involves :

Communicate with users and facility management team of the University to understand their requirements and expectations on technical issue of maintenance works and project progress

Manage and monitor work progress and improvement works as well as ensure the reliability of building services systems

Review the existing maintenance standards and policies, monitor contractors’ workmanship and work progress

Supervise and mentor technical staffs, assign tasks, provide feedback and ensure quality standards are met

Ensure services are delivered in compliance with the statutory requirements / regulations, Ordinance and achieve the KPI targets

Lead technical team and manage 3rd party vendors to perform facilities services and preventive maintenance or corrective maintenance etc.

Support FM team to prepare regular and ad hoc reports to the Client

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for technical issues

Prepare and draft documentations for request of tender and quotation for technical issue

Sound like you? To apply you will have :

Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field

Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g. HKIE, CIBSE) is highly preferred

Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management or building services maintenance

Proven experience in managing and supervising technical team

Strong knowledge of building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems

Understand of relevant statutory requirements, regulations, and ordinances related to building services and maintenance

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Fluent in English and Chinese

Ability to work flexible hours when required

Willingness to respond to emergency situations outside of regular working hours
