Quant Research Specialist - Eka Finance

A Hong Kong–based quantitative investment fund is seeking a Quantitative Researcher to join their expanding research team.

Overview & Responsibilities

1. Research, design, and test new investment strategies within their internal research framework.
2. Apply advanced statistical and quantitative techniques to large and complex datasets to identify high-quality trading opportunities.
3. Develop a deep understanding of global and regional financial markets while working closely with their Hong Kong team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related fields).
2. Strong technical skills with proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python preferred; Matlab, C++, or C# also considered).
3. Experience handling, cleaning, and analysing large datasets.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
5. Candidates already based in Hong Kong, or committed to relocating, are strongly preferred.
