Fundamental Equities Quantitative Research Analyst - Hong Kong

What you ’ll do

We’re seeking an exceptional junior quantitative analyst to join a large fundamental equities investment team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your career at the intersection of systematic and fundamental investing. You will work alongside experienced portfolio managers and analysts to design, implement, and refine data-driven investment strategies that generate systematic returns or complement fundamental research.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct rigorous quantitative research on market, fundamental, and alternative datasets; design, test, and implement alpha models for systematic strategies.
• Develop and maintain robust data-driven process that enhance the team’s fundamental investment process.
• Conduct data analysis to portfolio managers to support investment decisions

What’s required

• M.S. or PhD in quantitative disciplines such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Finance.
• Fresh graduate with exceptional academic background or up to 2 years relevant experiences in quantitative investment research
• Strong foundation in machine learning and AI techniques, including knowledge of model architectures, neural network training, and applying AI tools in research projects. Experience with time series models, natural language processing, AI agentic system is strong plus.
• Proficiency in programming with Python. Familiarity with at least one deep learning framework is preferred. Knowledge of SQL or Kdb is a plus.

• Strong team player: Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
