Duties & Responsibilities :
The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) seeks a seasoned technology executive to serve as its Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO). As one of the technology leaders within the organisation, the DCIO plays a pivotal role in assisting the CIO in harmonising the technology ecosystem, advancing data capabilities, and strengthening regulatory effectiveness through thoughtful technology enablement.
DCIO is required to :
- deputise for the CIO in all of his strategic and operational roles as and when necessary.
- manage the IT budgets for projects and activities to ensure effective use of resources; oversee the day-to-day management of IT projects throughout their development cycles; ensuring the quality level and timeliness of service delivery and manage contract negotiation(s) for substantial IT projects.
- continuously improve the risk management profile across all phases of technology architecture, design, development, and operations as the platform is unified, modernised, and enhanced.
- lead and coach multi-discipline IT Teams and interface with business units to achieve the SFC’s mission, strategic goals and business priorities effectively and efficiently.
- manage all Service Level Agreements with other SFC business units.
Requirements :
To qualify for this position, the candidate :
must have a university degree in Information Technology or business administration disciplines, together with at least 10-15 years of solid senior IT management experience.have deep knowledge across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity and the leveraging of data for the purposes of analytics and further application to emerging technologies such as AI. Experience implementing scalable and future-proof architecture with efficient, interoperable solutions.exhibit a strong results orientation with a drive to consistently and efficiently deliver results for SFC and its stakeholders through advanced platforms and technology. Strong understanding of risk management and cybersecurity frameworks.have proven delivery track record in complex technology environments and data management.must be proactive and good at managing changes, team oriented and can motivate the team to achieve stretch goal.display strong relationship-building, coaching and communication skills to influence across divisional leadership.
