LEAD DATA SCIENTIST, ASIA, (DATA AND AI) INSURANCE

A fast-growing, agile multinational insurer is expanding its regional Data & AI team and is now seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join their Asia hub in Hong Kong. In this strategic role, you will lead the design and deployment of advanced statistical and GenAI / ML models, delivering impactful solutions to complex business challenges across the region.

You will guide a team of data scientists, providing hands-on leadership, mentoring, and fostering a high-performance, innovation-driven culture. You will manage multiple high-stakes projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, aligned with business objectives, and scalable across markets. Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, you will help translate business problems into data science strategies and drive the integration of AI into core operations.

You will bring a strong academic foundation in mathematics, engineering, or computer science, along with deep technical proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Scikit-learn. You are a confident communicator with a track record of successfully leading enterprise-level data science projects, particularly in financial services or insurance. Your leadership skills, business acumen, and understanding of data architecture and governance will position you to make a lasting impact.
