Reports To :   Engagement & Events Manager, FOP

Department :  Flight Operations (FOP)

This role is part of a professional team in our Flight Operations Department, which consists of flight crew and ground staff teams, both working to ensure the highest standards of operational efficiency and service. Safety is intrinsic to everything we do.

As the Assistant Manager of Engagement & Events, Flight Operations, you will be responsible for supporting the Engagement & Events Manager, Flight Operations (FOP), in enhancing pilots' experiences and engagement through a wide range of channels, including events, wellbeing activities, recognition programs, and communication articles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Engagement & Events Manager, FOP in the end-to-end planning and execution of engagement programmes and activities for Pilot
  • Support and coordinate logistics part of events, recognition and wellbeing programmes
  • Assist in developing event timelines, run sheets, and contingency plans
  • Manage event registration, attendee communications, and post-event follow-ups
  • Maintain event budgets, track expenses, and process invoices
  • Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally to ensure successful execution of events
  • Provide idea / alternatives to Engagement & Events Manager to plan and deliver engagement strategies and new initiatives
  • Monitor communications channels including email, Hub Social and Company intranet.
  • Carry out employee survey or evaluation form in order to understand what pilots need and want for better engagement planning
  • Develop meaningful and illustrative content for use in internal communications to pilots including images, infographics and other visual content when needed

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Events Management or a related discipline
  • Skills

  • Excellent event management skills
  • Attention to detail and good planning skills
  • Good problem solver
  • Multitasking and flexible
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Critical thinking – ability to understand pilots’ need and want and apply to engagement activities
  • Creative – able to suggest ideas for engagement strategies
  • Video editing and graphic design skills are a plus
  • Experience

  • Five years’ experience in an event management or employee engagement related role
  • Experience working in large complex organisations
