The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.
This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.
You will be responsible for :
- organising events / programmes for community engagement of the District;
- coordinating with arts and cultural programme partners, District Councils, community groups, NGOs or other government organisations for public engagement and community outreach collaborations;
- working with external agencies, outsourced vendors and community partners on public engagement and community outreach initiatives as necessary;
- assisting to implement corporate events, partnership programmes and delegation visits to strengthen the brand image of the Authority and the West Kowloon Cultural District, including supporting the event planning and execution, and coordinating with external key stakeholders, including government organisations, community groups and other concerned parties;
- preparing corporate communications materials including news summary, papers and press release;
- assisting to administrative work for daily operation of the team; and
- driving and executing ad-hoc communications projects when required.
You should :
possess a recognised university degree or above in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related discipline;have at least 3 years of relevant and solid experience in corporate social responsibility, community engagement public relations, events management, media relations and corporate communications;have solid experience in engaging government bodies, District Councils, NGOs and community groups;have strong interpersonal and communications skills, good team player, multi-tasking, able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure, creative and dynamic;able to execute projects and events independently with guidance to achieve the engagement objectives and demonstrate strong attention to details and have a flexible approach to work;have excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; proficient in Putonghua will be an advantage; andable to work irregular hours at weekends and public holidays if required.
