The Department
Brand and Digital Marketing Channels leads the overarching, customer-centric strategy for the Club’s parent brand, its digital marketing channels ecosystem and content offering. The team manages the strategic positioning of the Club in Hong Kong and the Mainland, and drives broad awareness and depth of engagement of the HKJC brand as a key contributor to society and a world-class racing sports, entertainment and lifestyle offering among existing and new, younger Gen Y and Z audiences. The team also works closely with our business units embedding critical expertise enabling them to improve their own communications strategies, while ensuring a consistent and coherent brand experience for our audiences.
The Job
- Collaborate with the team to develop and publish creative content that resonate with the Gen Z and Gen Y target audiences.
- Create engaging and shareable written content, including social media posts, e-newsletters, websites and other promotional collateral, that effectively communicates our brand voice and key messages.
- Develop visually appealing content in the form of images, graphics, and short videos that captures attention and tells compelling stories.
- Conduct research to stay up to date with current trends and topics in football / sports to ensure our content remains relevant and competitive.
- Brainstorm and pitch ideas for unique and innovative content formats, taking into account the preferences and behaviours of the Gen Z and Gen Y audiences.
- Collaborate with other team members and external agencies, including designers and video editors, to bring content ideas to life.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of content across various platforms and channels, proposing data-driven decisions to optimize engagement and reach.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging content trends, and implement those learnings into our content creation process.
- Maintain a consistent brand tone and style across all content, while also adapting the messaging and format to suit different platforms and target demographics.
- Seek feedback from internal stakeholders and external partners to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our content.
About You
Diploma / Bachelor degree holder in a relevant field, such as Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Multimedia DesignMinimum of 2 years of professional experience in digital content creation, preferably in a similar role within the sports or entertainment industryExperience working with production houses or creative agencies will be considered a strong advantageExcellent command of English and Chinese languages, with strong attention to detail in both written and verbal communicationWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, to accommodate live events and other time-sensitive contentA genuine interest and passion for football and / or sports will greatly contribute to understanding and engaging with our target audienceProficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required for general administrative tasks and effective communication with the teamHands-on experience with graphic design software Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and video editing software Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
