Trading Systems Support Engineer

Our client, a top tier proprietary trading firm is looking for a passionate and technically talented individual to work in a fast-paced environment whilst putting their talents to work in a broad technical role.

The successful candidate will be part of the global Infrastructure and Technology Service team and based in Hong Kong, responsible for the upkeep of the trading IT systems, supporting the end to end trading application and providing direct trading application support to the trading teams.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Own critical incidents by identifying root causes, mitigating impact, and leading post-mortem reviews to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure the seamless operation of distributed, multi-server trading systems.
• Be the go-to expert for traders by providing hands-on trade floor support and direct application assistance.
• Oversee UAT coordination and production software releases to maintain stability and performance.
• Collaborate with Operations and Development teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Design and implement robust monitoring and logging solutions, enhancing system reliability and visibility.
• Automate and optimize workflows, developing scripts and tools to drive operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying gaps and suggesting better processes or tools.
• Engage in occasional after-hours support and testing as required to ensure smooth operations.
