Specialist, Business Legal, Private Banking and Wealth Management

Responsibilities

• Provide overall legal support to Private Banking ("PB") & Consumer Banking Group ("CBG") including but not limited to : manage legal risks arising from the activities and operations undertaken by PB & CBG; provide critical risk assessment of transactions, structures and new initiatives; review and advise on existing and new laws and regulations; review and where applicable, assist to negotiate contracts and agreements with PB & CBG counterparties; review and revise customer-facing documentation; work with the relevant PB & CBG business units and support units to develop and maintain standard documentation templates for specific transactions, structures, products or operations; work with PB & CBG business units and support units, where necessary, to develop and issue guidelines on specific matters to manage legal risks; assist in investigation, mediation andplaints; and manage key litigation by and against PB & CBG
• Manage PB & CBG's relationships with external law firms to ensure high quality, practical and succinct advice in a timely and cost effective manner
• Participate in key projects and initiatives of PB & CBG
• Support PB & CBG Legal team members and other Legal team members, including Group Legal on any regional projects and initiatives
• Work closely withpliance and FCSS to manage DBS' regulatory risks
