The Role
An experienced full time marine surveyor is required to join a small and busy team. The role involves performing insurance casualty and loss prevention inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- To conduct insurance related inspections of materials and equipment for ships and floating structures and report on the findings as required
- Perform ad-hoc consultancy and outsourcing jobs in the maritime field as per business requirements.
- Carry out audits onboard ships and at client offices as required
- Carrying out desktop reviews
- Providing technical advice
- Producing reports
- Attending casualties
- Preparing technical publications and other Technical Services related marketing material.
- Delivering training, forums and seminars regarding technical matters.

- Ad Hoc duties : Your key accountabilities will include such other duties and tasks as allocated, at the discretion of management, and that are within your capabilities and the scope of your role.
Technical Skills and Experience
Experienced in H&M, P&I, MWS, Shipyard inspections and prepurchase inspections within Greater China regionEstablished network and relationships within the local Marine industryPrior career as Master Mariner or Chief Engineers COC 1, Superintendent, Class surveyor, Shipyard etc.Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken EnglishAble to travel widely within Greater China and overseas, at short notice
