The Department

The primary purpose of this role is to support Head of Strategic Procurement (HSP)’s office on various departmental and operational initiatives as well as the divisional exercises.

He / she will support HSP and Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement (COE - PMO & Departmental Projects) to define communication strategy and identify target audiences. He / she will identify communication channels which are needed to reach the audiences and formulate communication plan which build awareness and promote benefits of departmental initiatives.

He / she will support HSP to communicate with Leadership Team, all E&AE of SPRO, all SPRO Buyers about people strategy, debriefing from Senior Management, Corporate Updates and Departmental Projects. He / she will support HSP’s stakeholder mapping.

He / she will support HSP and Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement (COE - PMO & Departmental Projects) to be the meeting secretary in the internal project management office (PMO) for on-going departmental simplification / transformation initiatives to embed category management, and streamline and / or automate procurement process according to the procurement service models.   He / she should provide transparency tracking and regular reporting.

The Job

  • Support HSP and Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement (COE - PMO & Departmental Projects) to develop the departmental communication framework
  • Support HSP and Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement (COE - PMO & Departmental Projects) to develop and maintain structured on-boarding programme
  • Support HSP and Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement (COE - PMO & Departmental Projects) on preparation, tracking and management of departmental budget and headcounts planning
  • Support HSP and Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement (COE - PMO & Departmental Projects) to manage the internal project management office (PMO) for Process Simplification / transformation initiatives

About You

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing / Public Relations / Communications / Journalism / Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5-8 years of related work experience in sizable organization
  • Strong communications skills in management large- and small-scale event planning, town-hall meeting, stakeholders management with innovative ideas to drive culture awareness
  • Proactive, mature & self-confident with good business acumen
  • Digital, technology savvy, analytical and creative problem solver
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and ideally, Photoshop, Illustrator and video editing
  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills, proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese, fluent in Mandarin is a plus
  • Good planning and project management skills to drive change programmes.
