Accounting Officer

The Accounting Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of research project accounting matters, ensuring that all incomes and expenses are accurately reported in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities :

• Perform financial analysis, reporting and post-event review of the responsible functional areas for management review and discussion;
• Prepare financial reports of research projects in accordance with the University and funding agencies’ accounting policies;
• Set up of suitable project accounts for respective research projects, handle user enquiries on daily budget administration matters;
• Review internal controls and administer financial systems in accordance with established policies / procedures;
• Manage User Acceptance Test for system development and process improvement; and
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting or related disciplines with at least 4 years of working experience. Possession of membership or student membership of accounting bodies such as HKICPA / ACCA is preferred. Experience in relevant ERP System will be an advantage. The appointee should have a high level of attention to details, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members across the University. (Duration : 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
