BAU Sustainment Manager

You will be responsible for :

defining the framework of applications' quality assurance, including the methodologies and the key metrics, and lead the implementation and optimization of the framework;

reviewing the quality assurance plan for application projects to ensure due diligence in projects or applications testing and the key metrics to meet targeted solution quality;

reviewing systems and applications projects to ensure IT policies and standards compliance and make recommendations on the policies to maintain a high level of quality for IT services;

overseeing the quality assurance platform, managing the test cases of applications, and collaborating with the project team to enable quality assurance automation for qualified cases;

collaborating with the IT service manager to design corresponding quality assurance tests to detect defects and issues in the testing or development environment as preventive measures and in a production environment as active monitoring;

working with the architect team to ensure the quality assurance framework is aligned with architectural principles and can be applied to all kinds of IT application projects;

leading the team to oversee the quality of application development projects and manage the schedule and resources for executing quality assurance tests;

collaborating with cyber security and infrastructure teams to develop and maintain the quality assurance strategy for cybersecurity-related updates and changes;

collaborating with the architecture team to institutionalise the DevOps framework on quality assurance tests;

designing and reviewing regression tests for applications in testing environments and design the test case for critical applications as active monitoring in the production environment;

leading the team in reviewing and documenting the Business Continuity Plan for core applications to ensure the business operations are rescilient to critical incidents; and

managing external service providers to optimize quality assurance resources. Governing and gatekeeping quality assurance practices to ensure compliance with the Authority’s policies and standards.

You should :

possess a recognised university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant disciplines;

have at least 8 years of working experience with 3 years in the software quality assurance role;

possess a professional certification relevant to quality assurance is a plus;

have hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing; managing quality assurance teams and vendors resources;

have experience in web, mobile, and console application testing methodologies and defining key metrics;

have experience in setting up DevOps workflows and hands-on in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Gitlab, and GitHub;

have experience in automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Katalon, Playwright, and Mocha;

have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and self-motivated and able to work independently; and

be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
