Gap Inc. Supply Chain Strategy evaluates and formulates capability development considering end-to-end value chain optimization. The Sourcing Strategy team in Hong Kong supports the development of supply chain capability upstream and connects with the downstream development agenda. Our upstream capability building agenda covers the enablement and scaling of data capabilities, modernization our Cost & Procurement practices, deployment of market-leading Trace & Verify capabilities, and support for the evolution of our Responsive programs. In addition, the team is often called in to support and manage complex supply chain optimization.
What You'll Do
The Senior Director, Sourcing Strategy will :
a) bring Strategic Foresight & Leadership to the sourcing teams to create capability roadmaps
b) deliver Complex Projects and Manage Change in partnership with operating teams
c) develop and lead a High Performing Team
Strategic Foresight & Leadership : This position interacts with a diverse set of cross-functional teams, including category management & costing, raw materials, production planning & sourcing operations; ESG, and tech & data teams. The role will review processes, practices and technology tools, frame business problems, run market benchmarks, facilitate workshops, and develop business cases to continuously evolve Gap Inc. sourcing capabilities. The right candidate will be able to communicate clearly and compellingly to educate senior leaders and prepare investment review meetings.
Examples of key activities :
Deliver Complex Projects & Manage Change : This position is expected to manage a portfolio of projects with complex process mapping and solutioning.
Capability building : The role owns problem solving and manages multiple workstreams in parallel to build capability with people, process and tools and mature the adoption and deployment. Identifying opportunities to advance the capabilities for speed to market, cost optimization, quality etc.
Supply Chain Analytics : The team identifies the advanced analytical capabilities needed to run a global network including optimization models, eg. supply planning.
Develop and manage a high performing team : The role leads a high performing team through strong analytical and problem solving skills, and presents complex projects in a clear and structured format.
As the leader of this team, the role assesses team capability, develops the skills sets, provides coaching and learning opportunities to team members so that they can perform at the best of their ability. The projects are complex and have to be delivered under tight timelines. The efficacy of this team is critical to the delivery of our transformation agenda.

You have extensive supply chain experience in the following fields :
Leadership and change management
You have experience in leading with and without authority to influence others and drive decision-making cross-functionally in a matrix environment where speed and cultural sensitivity are crucial. You are good at planning, prioritizing and adapting to change, and can manage dynamic projects. You can proactively solve problems and effectively manage multiple challenges often on tight deadlines.
Advanced Analytics capabilities
You have a passion for data and analytics. Your past experience demonstrates the ability to bring data at the service of solving complex projects and implement learning for future use. You are confident in leading / coaching teams to develop and utilize business-focused analytical models.

Academic qualifications
Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management and or MBA preferred
