Our Infrastructure Advisory team advises clients on financial, procurement, strategic and public-private partnerships issues for large-scale infrastructure and real estate projects and programmes. The team provides support to our clients from the earliest stages of analysis, project evaluation to procurement, financial close, construction and operations.
We are looking for a Senior Consultant, to join our Infrastructure Advisory (Major Projects and Construction) team. Within the Transactions and Strategy function, the Infrastructure Advisory (Major Projects and Construction) team, provides solutions to some of the biggest and most complex challenges in infrastructure and the wider built-asset environment.
Our Major Projects and Construction advisory work comprises three core areas :
- Industry Transformation –advisory primarily to government and public authority bodies regarding modernisation of project and programme delivery.
- Project, programme and Portfolio (P3M) advisory – Advising private sector on transforming the way public and private sector projects are delivered.
- Digital, data and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Transformation – Advising on digital and technology solutions transforming the construction industry, including carbon data capture and utilization to shape the industry and programmes.

This role will be based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate may be required to travel depending on client need.
Key responsibilities
In your role as a Senior Consultant you will deliver solutions across the life-cycle of public and private infrastructure, and will involve :
Reviewing client processes and suggesting improvements or opportunities for greater efficiency.Engaging with various stakeholders to understand their pain points / requirements to help provide the best possible solutions to our clients.Advise clients on the organisational design and transformation requirements to enable effective delivery.Advising on procurement strategies at a project or portfolio level.Determining client requirements for data and connectivity and advising on potential digital solutions.Developing detailed proposals and other Business Development material, as well as partaking in industry events and support development of opinion pieces to ensure EY is at the forefront of the market.Assisting in client engagement tasks, including billing, WIP and other administration.Staying up-to-date of cutting-edge industry knowledge and economic trends and have the ability to quickly anticipate and respond to the issues of a networked and constantly changing global economy.Requirements
We are looking for people with at least four years’ professional work experience. Background in one, or a combination, of the following is preferred :
Experience in either delivery or advisory functions in industry, government or consultancy practice (major professional services firms, major consulting practices or specialist boutique firms).Experience of delivering expert project, programme or wider industry transformation.Experience of working in construction, architecture, real estate or for an engineering consultant.We are looking for people with the following knowledge / skills :
Deep knowledge of information management in construction and programmes, including the use of Common Data Environments (CDE)Appreciation of the Technical Circular (Works) No. 3 / 2020 on Digital Works Supervision System (DWSS) and the future requirements needed to generate a holistic digital information management approach to public projects in Hong KongUnderstanding of data flows and BIM use in the construction sector as per ISO19650 and other similar data standardsUnderstanding / appreciation of the data sets in construction schedule, cost, HSQE, contract, risk, central financeStrong report writing, communication and presentational skillsAdept at building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clientsExcellent problem-solving skills, curiosity and creative thinkingAbility to work effectively and collaboratively in teamsEnthusiastic work ethic and willingness to learn and get involved in new areasRelevant professional qualifications such as APM PMQ, RICS, ICE, ChPP is preferredBusiness proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is preferredWhat working at EY offers
