Responsibilities

Responsibilities

1st year :

  • Learn about the department mission
  • Get familial with our tools, processes and governance
  • Provide operational support on reporting missions and market watch

2nd year :

  • Provide support on MRF assessment, eventually on MMG production punctually
  • Be able to deep dive positions and risks on specific cases that need dedicated reviews
  • participate into industrializing our production and reporting tools

    • Candidates with outstanding performance will be considered for early conversion to permanent roles.

    The Trainee role is a full time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.

    Profile required

  • Hold a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Economics, Engineering or similar
  • Strong quantitative orientation and analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of Derivatives, Equity and Fixed Income products, risk analysis and models (VaR, Stress test) and valuation models of financial products
  • Proficiency in Python. Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge in Excel, Access, strong SQL skills
  • Highly motivated and fast learning individual
  • First experience in Market Risk or Trading will be appreciated
  • Fluent English is mandatory
