The Role
- This position involves overseeing all management and financial accounting, as well as reporting for assigned Funds and their subsidiaries in countries such as Australia, Korea, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and New Zealand. Key responsibilities include :
- Ensuring the production of timely and accurate quarterly financial reports for private equity funds, including IFRS adjustments, deferred tax, revaluation of financial instruments, and validation of subsidiary accounts in compliance with the company's policies and procedures. This also involves providing in-depth analysis and commentary.
- Overseeing the production of annual statutory accounts for Funds and their overseas subsidiaries.
- Ensuring compliance with all reporting and tax filing deadlines for the Funds and their overseas subsidiaries.
- Managing engagement with local service providers for all accounting-related matters.
- Preparing accounts payable, reviewing, and settling invoices.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of enhanced processes to improve reporting cycles for timely and accurate outcomes.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors, providing necessary information, and reviewing and discussing as required.
- Handling any other responsibilities that may arise, including various ad-hoc projects.
Your Profile
My client is searching for professionals who are innovative, agile in their approach, and driven to excel. The ideal candidate should bring the following :A university degree in accounting or equivalent.At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the real estate / RE or PE fund / property developer, with previous Big 4 audit background.Strong, up-to-date knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); US GAAP knowledge is an added advantage.Experience with group consolidations is beneficial.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to the timeliness and quality of work.A responsive team player with the capability to prioritize tasks under pressure.Self-motivation, an organized approach, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.The ability to identify issues and escalate concerns to supervisors promptly.Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate respectfully and professionally with diverse teams across the region.High personal and professional integrity, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience using Investran and Yardi (real estate accounting software) is a significant advantage.Effective communication skills in both spoken and written English. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential, while knowledge of Japanese or Korean is a plus.Apply Today
