A well-known Global ICT leader which delivers solutions and services to the MNC, is now looking for a Data Center Solution Consultant to join their team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

  • Being the subject matter expert of the Data Center architectures and other technology services such as ITO, Cloud, Consulting, and Converged Infrastructure
  • Responsible for analyzing client business and technology requirements through a deep understanding of the latest industry trends, associated solutions and key partners’ solutions.
  • Gather requirements to accurately develop the future state of the business with supporting data.
  • Apply design methodology principles in a logical and scientific manner to perform a detailed analysis of client requirements to create designs for conceptual architectural designs.
  • Consult with clients to understand and develop the IT roadmap in conjunction with the strategy and conduct assessments to gain insights into the client’s current and future states as input into the business case.
  • Build and develop business cases based on your assessment and present and explain the value of proposed infrastructure, application and / or platform solutions to clients in a consultative manner.
  • Assist the client in architecting next generation datacentre based on capabilities from a single or multiple Business Units.
  • Involved with a project at the time of inception and along with the project manager in the planning and governance of projects, the Functional analysis (FA) of developing the initial requirements.
  • Lead and manage the creation and closure of a strong pipeline against established programme targets working with internal and partner’s sales teams as well as being a key contributor towards convincing clients of our joint proposition.
  • Use consultative solution selling and business development skills to align the client’s business needs with the solutions.
  • Research and investigate emerging infrastructure technologies, platform and / or application technologies and the best practices associated with them.
  • Support the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to improving current methodologies, processes and tools.
  • Increase business opportunities for the company by acting as entrepreneurs, supporting bids and sales pursuits, and generating opportunities within clients.
  • Qualify opportunities and contribute to the process of selling solutions and services.

Requirements

  • Degree in IT or Computer Engineering
  • At least 10+ years of work experience in IT services environment
  • At least 7 + years for consulting or advisory skills and experience
  • Deep knowledge of industry verticals, i.e. manufacturing, public service, financial services
  • Proven client engagement and consulting experience coupled with solid experience in client needs assessment and change management
  • Well versed in ITO, Cloud, Consulting and Converged Infrastructure
  • History of leading large transformation projects
  • Good understanding of Next Generation Data Center
  • Considerable knowledge of the client’s infrastructure and architecture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations to a diverse audience
  • The ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the solution leads to business transformation
  • Must be able to break down complex technical topics into common language understandable by non-technical / business oriented audiences
  • Understands the interdependency of domains, networking, compute, storage, security and the various current solution technologies
  • Ability to focus on detail with an understanding of how it impacts the business strategically
