Background

Our client is a Fintech Platform, connecting businesses requiring Supply Chain Financing with investors who invest in Trade Finance assets as an Alternative Asset Class. Financially backed by a Global Financial Institution, the company aims to become a leading Global Channel in originating and distributing supply chain finance investment opportunities.

How the role sits within the organisation

Reporting to the CFO, the individual will be a key member of the company’s Finance Team, providing a senior presence across Financial & Management Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) as well as Finance & Treasury Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Management Reporting

  • Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and annual audits
  • Maintain company's ledger and present monthly management accounts
  • Conduct tax filings
  • Manage the monthly management reporting and analysis of financials for all group entities
  • Ensure the right treatment for products and services in accounting terms

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Analyse current and past trends in various Financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Deliver insights to the business decision-making process
  • Facilitate periodic budgeting and business planning process across the company

    • Finance & Treasury Operations

  • Initiate and establish new Finance Operations, including entity creation, capitalisation, process flow and control creation and any related ad hoc requirements
  • Ongoing integrations and reconciliations between accounting systems and the company’s business platform
  • Liquidity management, including but not limited to liaising with banks on lending facilities & / or hedging arrangements
  • Vendor Management, including Selections & subsequent Integrations
  • Review and implement cost control processes across the company
  • Management of Internal Audit process

    • Traits of an Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified accountant with experience in a similar capacity with a Financial Institution
  • Solid experience on FP&A
  • Analytical and able to visualise situations with numbers
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and stakeholders management skills
  • Hands-on with a “Can do” attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
