M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. In Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, we are building one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world, with a bold ambition to establish ourselves as one of the world’s leading cultural institutions. Our aim is to create a new kind of museum that reflects our unique time and place, a museum that builds on Hong Kong’s historic balance of the local and international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia’s twenty-first century.
You will be responsible for :
- coordinating, refining, and tracking project workflows and all production and procedural timescales
- negotiating and book films and arrange print logistics
- coordinating processes between curatorial, collections, marketing, and rights holders for content production and delivery
- updating and maintaining programming calendars and screening schedules
- coordinating subtitle translation and production
- conducting film print research and maintain various databases
- providing assistance and onsite coordination at special events
- handling general administrative work
- handling other Moving Image curatorial projects as directed.
You should :
possess a recognised university degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Arts Administration, Cultural Management, Film or Screen-based Studies, History of Art, Comparative Literature, Foreign Languages, Liberal Arts, or related discipline;have at least 2 years of experience working for a mid- or large-sized organisation;have demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners;have demonstrable experience working on projects and assignments with a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and time sensitivities;have excellent computer skills and experience or other relational database systems;have the ability to work independently and juggle multiple assignments in a dynamic team environment; andhave excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.
