The Department
The Handicapping and Race Planning team’s functional areas include race fixtures, race programme, incoming simulcast schedule, handicapping & international ratings, PP imports and overseas horse performance records. The aim is to drive interest and turnover on local racing and wagering by providing a competitive, exciting, fair & high quality racing and wagering product, as well as to drive interest and turnover on incoming simulcast products by providing comprehensive race news and racing-related information.
The Job
You will :
- Compile overseas racing records of horses competing in HK and overseas simulcast races
- Deliver simulcast form guide content in a timely manner to various channels
- Assist in maintenance and development of Racing Information and Simulcast Form Guide Systems as per business process and operation needs including in collecting requirements, performing user acceptance test and compiling testing documents
- Provide office application and computer support for internal users
- Prepare regular and ad hoc horse and racing business reports and forecasts
- Assist the managers in performing handicapping, race planning and racing information production functions
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Deliver racing operational duties at the races
About You
You should have :
Bachelor degree preferably in computer-related or numerical analysis subjects2 years of working experience preferably in a relevant capacityAn interest in if not a passion for horse racing as a sport and businessDetail-mindedness to ensure accuracy and completeness of the deliverablesCommitment to work during non-office working hours and Public Holidays and flexibility in work hour arrangements to suit operation needsProficiency in MS Office applicationsExperience in MS Access applications and / or Excel VBA will be an added advantageTerms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
