Responsibilities

  • Carry out a wide spectrum of accounting duties independently
  • Provide quality accounting services and financial advice to academic / administrative units
  • Compile budgets and prepare analyses between the budget and the actual figures
  • Perform cost re‐charging in accordance with Government regulations
  • Assist the supervisors to prepare statutory financial statements and compile returns required by the Government
  • Assist the supervisors to streamline the workflows to improve the work efficiency
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements

  • A recognized degree or equivalent qualifications in Accounting or related disciplines
  • Relevant experience in one or more areas of accounting work, such as handling full set of accounts, preparing financial statements and analyses, preparing budgets, processing accounts payables / receivables, managing project accounts, and writing reports are required
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • As a good team player
  • Ability to multi-tasking, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent PC skills in MS Office and good knowledge of computerized accounting systems
  • Experience in the higher education / non-governmental organization sector will be a definite advantage
