职位描述Degree holder in business, finance, environmental science or equivalent Over 15 years’ banking experience with at least 6 years’ exposure in ESG finance in marketing and governance Strong exposure, track records and knowledge in sustainability finance, e.g. Green / Social Loan Principle, Transition Finance and ESG disclosure standards, etc Good understanding on ESG market trend and future development Strong analytical skills and ability in getting buy-in from senior management and stakeholders, as well as negotiating with various parties both internally and externally to achieve consensus on structuring ESG financing terms and framework Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills Team player with good leadership Multi-tasking and attentive to details; able to work under pressure with tight deadlines Fluent in spoken & written English, Mandarin and Cantonese
Responsibilities
- To promote ESG business both internally and externally in order to secure SMBC’s leading ESG market position in the region covering HK, China, Taiwan and S Korea
- To proactively conduct marketing to secure ESG finance business opportunities including expansion of SMBC’s ESG capability to develop business opportunities such as ESG advisory service
- To take individual ownership on specific ESG transactions or country specific as assigned by LCMA management
- To meet all relevant KPIs that are assigned to the ESG team and take accountability to formulate sound strategies to achieve those KPIs
- To liaise with other ESG teams within SMBC including head office to develop ideas and business potential for this region
- To maintain up-to-date ESG development and market trend and provide regular update for business marketing as well as internally to business partners, LCMA management and other ESG regional teams within SMBC
- To participate and coordinate with relevant external industry bodies to enhance SMBC ESG franchise in the market by taking an active role in those external industry bodies
- To conduct necessary framework, governance and compliance requirements both from internal and external regulatory bodies; and registration as a RI under regulated activities
- To provide day-to-day guidance to junior members of the team
