Wayfair is redefining the way goods are moved around the globe and one of the key pillars of that strategy is to create a truly differentiated and vertically integrated supply chain. To enable this differentiated experience, Wayfair is investing heavily to create a supply chain network (CastleGate Forwarding) throughout China and Southeast Asia. This is an exciting, fast-paced, and high-visibility initiative and we are looking for leaders who can help disrupt the status quo and redefine an industry.
The CastleGate Forwarding team in Asia is looking for a data analyst, with strong attention-to-detail, a strategic mindset, and effective communication skills. This candidate must be able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment with Wayfair growing at an unprecedented 50%+ year over year.
You will be a part of the origin service team to bridge the gap between China factories / shippers and Wayfair global eco-system. Narrowing down to the data analyst role, you will create unique value propositions to Wayfair internal stakeholders. You will map out the data along the way from shippers / factories to either consolidation warehouse or origin ports. You will consolidate the data from internal / external sources, come up with number based analysis to tell how origin logistics performance looks like, both from commercial and operation perspective. You will also be acting as a touch point on behalf of origin service team data management, linking up with CastleGate Forwarding network, enabling the data from origin logistics to connect well with CGF other systems ( ex. NaviOS), maximizing the data value.
In short, the data master owns the strategy for data management. Maximizing the data value to profile as-is origin service performance, facilitate the origin service development team to sense the shippers / factories pain points from number based facts, meanwhile work with sister functions within CGF to plan future service development to alleviate shippers / factories pain points
