2025 Investment Banking Summer Associate MBA Program (Hong Kong / Singapore / Sydney)

The Summer Associate Program is designed to introduce graduate students to the Morgan Stanley Investment Banking Division, giving you first-hand exposure to the industry. The 10-week Program commences in June and students will be assigned to a specific group within the Investment Banking Division, working on projects ranging from an M&A transaction to an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Successful Summer Associates may receive a Full-time Associate offer after graduating from the Program. Training Program You will receive both Firmwide and Investment Banking Division-specific training and interact with other Summer Associates participating in different locations throughout the region. The training program consists of business-specific content, compliance issues and networking. Role and Responsibilities Your projects may involve a merger, an IPO or financing a new venture. You may participate in a competitive auction process to divest a business, identify potential strategic acquisition targets, organize a road show for potential investors in a major new equity offering or advise your team on how to tackle a complex piece of analysis. The role and responsibilities vary by department and may include : Assisting in the execution of corporate finance transactions and / or M&A transactions Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research Contributing to team discussions and client meetings Providing rapid and accurate market judgments to colleagues and clients Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner Qualifications and Skills You must be an MBA graduate student in your penultimate year of study, graduating between October 2025 - July 2026 You have at least two years of business experience You are analytical, quantitative, insightful, adaptive, a quick learner, a leader, a team player, a multi-tasker and possess strong work ethics and a positive attitude You are motivated to succeed in the investment banking industry You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English Business fluency in Mandarin / Cantonese / Korean is an advantage for the program in Hong Kong Business fluency in Southeast Asian languages (e.g. Bahasa, Vietnamese, Thai, Tagalog) is an advantage for the program in Singapore Application Process and Deadline Application processes may vary by location but typically includes : CV Assessment OnDemand Video Interview Zoom Interview Superday Interview In order to be considered, candidates must apply by November 3, 2024 at 23 : 55 HKT / SGT or November 4, 2024 at 01 : 55 AEDT.
