Functional Responsibility

  • Work with local Architects, vendors, and the technical team of the concessionaire to ensure that each project is built within budget and time constraints and to Hermès quality standards.
  • Assist Hermès Travel Retail pole in the definition of the project program according to the needs.
  • Collect premises information required to kick off the project (budget, technical documents, survey, Sustainability aspects etc …)
  • Work with coordinating architects and vendors to ensure each project is executed within time and budget constraints and to Hermès quality standards.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Hermès Travel project team (Project manager based in Paris and the Travel retail executive based in Hong Kong).
  • Ensure and follow up administrative paperwork with local authorities for project permit and other approval issuance.
  • Ensure the local legal and regulatory aspects are respected.
  • Perform site visits to ensure projects are completed as planned with the requested high quality and in a timely manner.
  • Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to contract management, invoice payment, and maintaining vendor records. Daily update of information logs, store charts, costs and associated record keeping.
  • Develop a strong relationship with the Facilities / Maintenance teams for the direct stores.
  • Report cost discrepancies and / or schedule issues to the Managing Construction Manager based in Paris.

Budget Responsibility

  • Develop cost estimation for projects
  • Decision Making Responsibility

  • Assist with the selection of vendors and contract negotiations in teamwork with the Construction Project Manager based in Paris.
  • Requirements & Capabilities :

  • 5 years of experience in the construction / project management / or Engineering design field.
  • 4 years Architecture degree or equivalent in an engineering or construction discipline for Project Management
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese(Mandarin) is a must with good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in other languages will be an added advantage.
  • Analytical mindset with budget or cost control experience.
  • International open mindset
  • Understanding of high-end retail environment which requires constant attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solver and ability to multi-task.
  • Team player with excellent organization and administrative skills.
  • Good knowledge of local codes & regulations.
  • Experience with vendor management, candidate with project management experience in China will be preferred.
  • Microsoft office tools and AutoCAD at minimal
