WPB COO – Chief Control Office

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of WPB Business Risk Management .

The job holder is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks across the Wealth & Personal Banking business. The job holder works closely with business units and senior management to ensure effective risk management practices are in place and risks are within the bank's risk appetite.

  • Develop and maintain WPB business risk management governance, framework, policies and processes
  • Provide oversight on business units’ risk management practices
  • Monitor and report on key risk indicators, risk events, and risk exposures for the WPB business
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure business units comply with regulations and internal policies
  • Drive a strong risk culture across the WPB business
  • Collaborate with other risk management functions (including second & third line of defence) to ensure a holistic view of risk
  • Lead a team of risk management professionals and ensure they have the necessary skills and capabilities

Requirements

  • University graduate with a minimum of 8 years of retail banking experience, with at least 5 years in risk management
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles, frameworks, and regulatory requirements
  • Leadership experience in managing and developing teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written communication, oral presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Good interpersonal, influencing & problem solving skills and the ability to drive a diverse group including internal and external partners
  • Project management skill with a track record in managing multiple priorities
  • Committed, self-motivated and action-oriented personality with strong ownership
