The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

As a member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support for the commercial operations of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) and its subsidiaries, including :

drafting, reviewing, and advising on a wide range of legal documents, practice notes, and guidelines, including procurement agreements (goods / services, IT), e-commerce contracts, ticketing, property management services agreements, product licensing agreements, publications agreements, marketing materials, event / programme contracts, employment contracts, and other commercial contracts;

drafting and reviewing internal policies, guidelines, practice notes, and papers for the Board, panels, committees of WKCDA or its subsidiaries or such other bodies as directed.

Advising on and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and common law duties;

collaborating with internal stakeholders across departments to address legal issues and provide strategic guidance;

staying abreast of evolving laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting the organization, and proactively advise on compliance and risk mitigation;

liaising with external counsel as necessary to manage specialized legal matters, ensuring cost-effective and timely resolution; and

directly reporting to Legal Advisor and advising any other legal issues as the General Manager – Legal may direct from time to time.

You should :

be a qualified lawyer with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience as a solicitor or a barrister practicing in Hong Kong or another recognised common law jurisdiction as stipulated in Schedule 2 of the Legal Officers Ordinance.  Preference would be given to those with previous in-house role / experience;

have strong understanding of procurement, commercial and corporate governance;

possess excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills;

be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;

have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;

be proficient in English and Chinese; and

be able and willing to handle administrative tasks as required from time to time.
