IT Officer
Duties
Reporting to the IT Manager, the appointee will be an in-house expert in application and integration development for IT / digital solutions and platforms ( Systems ) to support the large-scale Digital Transformation and daily operation of the University.
Major duties include to :
- Be responsible for the software development and maintenance of student information system and other administrative areas;
- Analyse user requirements, design and develop IT solutions for business needs;
- Ensure the responsible Systems are adequately supported through prompt resolution of system problems, maintenance of system documentation and training material;
- Contribute to efficient business processes by working with business / IT process owners to identify and implement new and improved system functionality;
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships and teamwork through close collaboration with internal stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors;
- Assist the supervisor in feasibility study, solution planning, proof-of-concept on new technology or solution; and
- Support any other IT projects and assignments as directed.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related disciplines;
- Solid knowledge of and / or experience in ANY of the following : Development with SQL, PL / SQL, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Python, jQuery and Bootstrap Oracle Database
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
- Being a fast learner with a can-do attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently are required.
- Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner and Exadata; and
- Knowledge of and experience in ANY of the following would be an advantage : SharePoint Administration; RPA (e.g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.
Low code development platforms (e.g. DragOnce, Power Platforms, Outsystems, Dell Boomi Flow, etc.); Data Management & Analytics (e.
g. Azure Synapse, Power BI, Qlik, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.); API management (e.g. Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, etc.); Agile development, DevOps, Docker and Kubernetes.
Fresh graduates will also be considered.

Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract;
