Position Description

Reporting to Service Delivery Manager, Global Engine Support, for the control and administration of Global Engine Support Hong Kong functions, resources and staff development are met to the required standard.

What You'll Do

  • Overall administering and coordinating with other departments in HAECO for issues regarding the management and operations involving technical maintenance activities
  • Management of Global Engine Support (HKG) on resources, systems and procedures in order to meet with target standards of operation performance and expenditures
  • Continually evaluate performance in order to improve effectiveness by evolving more efficient systems, processes, procedures and working practices. Carry out regular ramp and workshops inspections to ensure staffs have the required resources, spares, tooling and equipment to safely complete in a timely manner of all maintenance activities
  • Control and administration of the resources and facilities maintenance work out of normal office hours including weekends and public holidays
  • Carry out regular ramp and workshops patrol to home based and overseas customers’ engines to ensure servicing standards are being maintained
  • Hold regular shift / team meeting to discuss current work environment, production, quality assurance and other work related issues
  • Identify and develop staff for advancement. Provide recommendations for training, promotion, and salary reviews and general discipline
  • Carry out investigation and provide reports for occurrences, accident / incident and complaints

Operation Function

Control daily Global Engine Support activities, provide quality delivery and ensure smooth and timely progress

Manage the overall Global Engine Support and outstanding technical defects

Monitor and control equipment maintenance under the Global Engine Support Section

Deputize Service Delivery Manager, Global Engine Support (HKG) for the control and delivery of engines to the required standards per the planned schedule

Lead Global Engine Support team in order to meet all planned workload, ad-hoc and casualty requirement while maintaining a balanced scorecard

Build workshop plan to optimize staff and facility utilization

Offer solutions to customers

Quality

Collaborate with Quality Department for co-ordination, control and progress of inter-related work and customers’ audit

Training

Support in-house training initiatives

Manage internal & external training requirements

Provide Training Needs Analysis reports as required

Maintain skills matrix

Lead Capability development programs

What You'll Need

1. Technical and other Relevant Experience

  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Proven record in in-depth aircraft maintenance within Base Maintenance or Light Maintenance environment
  • Completed HKAR-66 or EASA Part-66 Module 9 (Human Factors), or equivalent
  • Completed HKAR-66 or EASA Part-66 Module 10 (Aviation Legislation), or equivalent
  • 2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Holder of an aircraft maintenance licence or maintenance authorization
  • Holder of a Bachelor degree in any discipline
  • Possess minimum 5 years experience in Aviation or 3 years Engine Workshop Experience
