Responsibilities

  • Daily oversight of trade bookings, validations, life cycle management, break investigations and settlements related to Fixed Ie, FX and associated Derivatives activities.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements and utilize technology to improve efficiency in terms of reconciliations process and other operations workflow.
  • Ensuring Operational standards are adhered to and any exception processes fully documented and approved.
  • Participate in new product approval process by analyzing the impact on trade booking, settlement, end-of-day process, regulatory reporting, etc.
  • Participate in projects when required, to facilitate IT Development or Process change. Ensuring Project management, lifecycle standards and tasks are adhered to.
  • Answer query both from internal and external audit, and provide necessary supporting document
  • Work with front office and back office functional support teams to ensure trading activities are properly booked in internal system.
  • Working with client and PBs to resolve all issues in a timely manner and ensuring daily deliverables are met.
  • Work on root cause analysis and solutions for re-occurring issue and breaks.

Requirements

  • Experience in a trade support function
  • A good understanding of Fixed Ie products in both exchange traded and derivative world, product lifecycles and settlement markets. Specific knowledge of FX, Rates and Derivatives required.
  • Degree Educated.
  • Risk and control focused mind-set.
  • Proven track record of driving changes initiatives for efficiency and / or control
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, able to manage front office expectation in meeting their request
  • Good organizational,munication and prioritization skills
  • Proactive mindset with willingness to take ownership and responsibility of tasks.
  • Excellent PC skills with good understanding of MS Office (Word & Excel). Macros / VBA skills are a plus.
  • Understanding ofmon derivative instruments and an understanding of ISDA / CSA Master Agreements & Definitions would be a plus.
  • Language skills : English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
