Assistant Analyst (three posts) (Ref. 250509011-IE)

Duties

The appointees will be required to :

a)    assist in data collection, reporting and analysis in conjunction with academic / administrative units of the University;

b)    support the development and maintenance of databases and dashboards;

c)    assist in producing documentation, including presentation slides, report, and publications;

d)    assist in liaising with internal and external database providers for various projects; and

e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have :

a)    a recognised degree, preferably in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration or a related discipline;

b)    at least three years of work experience, with basic knowledge of data analytics, database, BI tools (such as Power BI and Alteryx), and / or programming language would be an advantage;

c)    a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

d)    good communication and interpersonal skills; and

e)    high self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

Preference will be given to those who are familiar with research data or research databases, such as Scopus, SciVal, WoS, InCites, etc.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
