Role purpose
Editors are key members of both the Business Intelligence (BI) team and the regional editing team. They are responsible for editing reports and presentations produced by consultants in BI and other service lines and ensuring they go out as high-quality, client-ready documents. They work collaboratively with report writers and play a role in coaching them to improve their writing.
Role tasks and responsibilities
- Ensure that reports are well structured, well written, client ready and adhere to Control Risks' house style. This means that reports address clients' key questions; are clearly written, logical and analytical; and contain minimal errors in spelling and grammar.
- Liaise tactfully but firmly with report writers to manage workflows and ensure that all reports are delivered according to agreed deadlines.
- Provide constructive feedback to consultants regarding their reports and coach them to develop their professional writing skills.
- Edit reports from other sub-regions and service lines.
- Assist with the preparation of client proposals, presentations and marketing collateral.

Experience of editing in a professional services, academic publishing or media environmentProficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
