To contribute to the Grant Making team in achieving the Club's vision as the world class charity and community benefactor solving Metropolitan social issues with innovations.
Scope and Role :
Reporting directly to the Head of Charities or Executive Manager, the role will be part of the team initiating and managing donations related to Education, Early Childhood Development, and Talent Development.
The Job
- To initiate and assess funding applications with view to make recommendations to the Executive Director, Charities and Community for consideration; and to ensure the applications being reviewed and recommended are able to meet the community needs and in compliance with the Trust's policies and guidelines.
- To seek out new initiatives and explore opportunities of collaboration with the Government, tertiary institutions, and non-government organisations to meet the emerging and various needs of the community through charily contributions
- To propose appropriate conditions to be followed by grantees, and monitor spending of donated funds, handle budget virements, assist in compiling statistical / financial / progress reports and project updates, as well as report on special situations and make recommendations to management
- To monitor approved projects to ensure that they are implemented and completed according to schedule, pledged output and outcome, and within the original agreed scope and budget
- To represent the Trust in activities in relation to his / her respective projects including ceremonies, Voting Member Visits, Community Day and other related functions as part of the ongoing project monitoring process of approved projects, stakeholder engagement and new project development
About You
Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to the education sector (incl. schools and universities), public administration, consulting, NGOs, policy research, and / or social service settings;Knowledge in the community needs, existing services and / or government policies related to education and training, human capital development, and / or the social sector in Hong Kong in general;Experience in dealing with different stakeholders, such as government officials, district boards, academic public bodies and local foundations.Strong writing proficiency (in English and Chinese);Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;Proven project management experience and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams effectively;Strong personal drive, strategic and innovative mindset and analytical skills; andAbility to work independently as well as collaborative as a team.Terms of Employment
