A Fortune 500 US-based company is now seeking a legal professional to join their legal team in Asia Pacific in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide legal support in relation to the Company’s business in China, including matters related to
  • licensing and merchandising
  • marketing & promotions
  • brand management
  • employment
  • corporate, regulatory and compliance.
  • Ensure the use of appropriate terms and conditions, appropriate protection of the Company’s intellectual property and compliance with laws, regulations and policies in China and the Company’s policies.
  • Establishing new contract, translating and localising the Company’s contract templates from English to Simplified Chinese for use in China,
  • Assisting the Company’s company secretary with business and other corporate registrations in China.
  • Closely work with others in legal team & business units by keeping up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations and policies in China.
  • Working with Senior Counsel on employment-related contracts and queries.in this region

Requirements :

  • University law degree or a related discipline
  • Minimum of two year’s post-qualification experience with MNC and / or international law firm focusing on intellectual property related matters.
  • Sound legal knowledge in commercial practice
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills in English & Simplified Chinese / Mandarin
  • Ability to work independently, mature, confident and self-motivated
