Responsibilities

1. Media Relations & Editorial Coordination

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts in Hong Kong and Macau (print, digital, and broadcast).
  • Serve as the main press contact for all matters related to the assigned métiers.
  • Manage editorial requests and proactively pitch stories to maximize brand visibility in the local media landscape.
  • Collaborate with journalists, editors, stylists, and influencers to support product placements, interviews, and features.

2. Press Event Organization

  • Lead the coordination and execution of press events, including the Spring / Summer and Autumn / Winter Press Accessories Presentations, as well as métier-specific activations.
  • Manage event logistics, guest lists, vendor coordination, and press kit preparation.
  • Ensure events reflect the brand’s values and uphold Hermès’ standards of excellence and creativity.
  • 3. Press Materials & Content Development

  • Draft, localize, and distribute press releases, media alerts, speeches, and Q&A documents.
  • Align messaging with global communications and adapt for local relevance.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date media library and ensure timely sharing of press materials.
  • 4. Strategic Support & Reporting

  • Work closely with the Senior Press and Advertising Manager to implement local press strategies in line with global brand guidelines.
  • Monitor, compile, and analyze media coverage; prepare regular media clippings and performance reports.
  • Support budgeting, invoicing, and administrative tasks related to press operations.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in public relations or communications, preferably within the luxury, fashion, or lifestyle industry.
  • Strong network of media contacts in Hong Kong and Macau.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and media monitoring tools.
