Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Chief Agency Officer (CAO) to develop and implement a forward-thinking agency strategy for Hong Kong and Macau
- Analyze market trends and agency requirements to create strategies that anticipate future needs
- Oversee the CAO department budget and manage expenses effectively
- Participate actively in departmental transformation projects, reviewing and establishing documented workflows and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Assess the performance and efficiency of agency channels, creating strategies to improve reach, effectiveness, and profitability
- Work closely with corporate departments and District Agencies to ensure alignment of strategies with product offerings, facilitating seamless interdepartmental coordination for effective strategy execution
- Leverage market intelligence, performance metrics, and analytics to evaluate agency channel effectiveness, making data-informed adjustments to strategies. Provide insightful recommendations to senior leadership for impactful decision-making
- Support the creation and implementation of innovative digital distribution models and solutions to address digital disruptions. Promote a culture of innovation within the distribution function to enhance engagement and customer experience
- Develop frameworks to assess and enhance agency channel performance, ensuring that sales targets are consistently met or exceeded. Identify improvement areas and spearhead initiatives to boost channel productivity
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, external partners, regulators, and industry bodies, to advocate for the company’s distribution vision and initiatives
- Ensure that the agency strategy adheres to local regulations and international standards. Monitor risks related to agency models and devise strategies to mitigate potential challenges
Qualifications :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategy, business development, or related roles within the financial services or insurance industriesProven track record of leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership to implement complex business strategiesBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)Relevant industry certifications or qualifications (, CFA, FLMI, or insurance-related certifications) are advantageousHighly organized with the capability to analyze complex market dynamics and translate insights into actionable plansExcellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levelsIn-depth understanding of distribution channels, digital transformation, and current market trendsStrong financial acumen, with effective budget and KPI management skillsKnowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards within the insurance and financial services sectorsProficiency in English is essential.
