Prudential is looking for a Manager, Employee Communication & Engagement to support the company’s transformation by making our Next Prudential strategy meaningful for employees. The role is part of a team that works closely with our Group CHRO and the HR team, as well as the Sustainability and Transformation teams, to shape the corporate culture and help employees have a clear understanding of our strategic direction and encourage them to actively embrace change. The right person for this role will bring a passion for employee communication and creative story telling as well as the skills and experience to help us create a holistic approach to how we engage employees and use communication to effect change.
Job Responsibilities :
- Support in the management of our intranet platform, mobile app and email broadcasts :
- Support in the daily design and content management of our Unily intranet and associated mobile app;
- Maintain a weekly content calendar and ensure creation and population of frequent content;
- Monitor engagement with content and adapt calendar / strategy accordingly;
- Work with partners to troubleshoot issues with the platform, manage product enhancements and ensure we make the most of the latest trending features;
- Manage distribution of email content in templates that align with our brand direction.
- Create engaging corporate content that inspires employees and aligns them to the One Prudential brand, such as PruStories.
- Write and manage the content collation for our monthly Group-wide strategic newsletter – PruNews (working closely with our most senior leaders to gather their input).
- Work with stakeholders across the business to source and produce strategic communication plans and news stories in different formats.
- Ensure a multi-channel approach to content creation that looks at how to tell the best story in the best format.
- Provide support to the Senior Director, Employee Communication and Engagement in producing campaigns and content for our Group functions (HR, D&I, ESG, Digital, Finance and Risk).
- Provide monthly reporting on our communications channels to key stakeholders.
- Use the analytics to make recommendations on our content strategy and adjustments to our content calendar as necessary.
Job Requirements :
A creative storyteller : Ability to bring new and creative ideas to communication campaigns and activities that drive clear action and influence opinion; and a demonstrated ability to craft compelling stories with superior written, oral and visual communication skills. Strong written and presentation skills in English. An understanding of the different storytelling formats available and how to tell the right story in the right format for the right audience.Clear : Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner that ensures cut-through with a broad audience base.Focused : Demonstrated experience in the successful development and execution of integrated communications campaigns that cascade across multiple channels, platforms and audiences.Digital : A deep understanding of digital and social platforms, how best to display content and engage audiences.Strategic : Ability to stay aligned with overall strategic direction, while applying diligence and attention to detail in execution and reliably meeting deadlines.Professional : Professional maturity and ability to work effectively across levels, functions, regions and backgrounds. Global Mindset and perspective, with an appreciation for how communications may be perceived differently across cultures.Enthusiastic : Self-starter, taking sensible initiatives and actionsYou will have 5+ years’ experience working in a communication or related field environment. An agency background is an advantage. An undergraduate university degree in journalism, communications or business is a minimum requirement.
