The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is seeking an outstanding candidate to join the research team.

The appointee is expected to lead the research and development of a RF-based measurement system for a smart contact lens system. He / She is also expected to model a complex wireless RF circuit, verify results with simulation, prototype a functional system, and assist in clinical testing. The appointee may sometimes be required to work outside normal office hours and be assigned with ad-hoc duties. This position is based in HKUST Clear Water Bay Campus. Travel to the Greater Bay Area is required.

Applicants should have a PhD degree in electrical / electronic engineering and several years of post-qualification work experience, preferably in non-education sector. The ideal candidate should be well-organized with good communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, as well as an excellent command of spoken and professional written English. He / She should be self-motivated, attentive to details and multi-task oriented; and be able to work independently in a dynamic work environment. (Duration : 1 year).

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable.
