Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and implementation of data center facilities, including electrical systems, IT spaces, server racks, and network cabling.
- Conduct site assessments for colocation rooms and data centers, including upgrades and general facility projects.
- Perform risk analysis and availability assessments for vendor-operated colocation data centers.
- Continuously adapt data center requirements to align with business needs.
- Analyze root causes of equipment failures.
- Collaborate with local agencies to ensurepliance with building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with utilitypanies to meet site utility demands.
- Work withmissioning teams to validate the performance of electrical, mechanical, and fire suppression systems.
- Support operations through analysis of efficiency and failover strategies for critical systems.
- Interface with internal IT and engineering teams to uphold service standards and reliability.
- Travel to data center sites as necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Data Center Management, or a related field.10-15 years of experience in mission-critical data centers, with at least 5 years in industrial ormercial engineering roles.Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems specific to data centers.Familiarity with international codes for data center design and operations.Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical schematics.Experience in designing and troubleshooting power distribution and cooling systems.Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP).Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.Innovative thinker focused on cost reduction withoutpromising quality.Excellentmunication skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.Sanderson-iKas" is the brand name for the followingpanies incorporated in Hong Kong : Sanderson Solutions International (Hong Kong) Limited (Business Registration no.53741924) and iKas International (Asia) Limited (Business Registration no.39818987)
