Global Transaction Services (GTS) comprises of Cash & Trade, Securities Services and Fiduciary Services. In an increasingly borderless world marked by burgeoning trade flow, expertise in trade finance services is an invaluable asset. With cash the lifeblood of every company, so too, is a good understanding of how to manage these cashflows. Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to corporate clients including SMEs, for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs.
Job Description
As a core member of the Cash Product team, you have two primary responsibilities :
1) Product Management of the Account Services, Liabilities & Liquidity Management (LM) Product Suite – responsible for new product development and product enhancement, rollout, digitisation & strategy formulation, P&L management, risk & controls, pricing management & T&C negotiation and approval.
2) Product Commercialisation & Strategic Initiatives – lead product commercialisation and drive strategic initiatives with effective collaborations with internal stakeholders (including sales, implementation, relationship managers, tech) to accelerate and achieve ambitious growth in the corporate liabilities and liquidity management business which is one of DBS’ strategic focuses.
Responsibilities
a. Liabilities :
- Manage P&L of liabilities product portfolio
- Develop and execute product / pricing strategy to grow deposits and market share
- Collaborate with internal and external partners for liabilities product development and commercialization
- Partner with data analytics to identify growth opportunities and enhance cross-sell
- Manage account services, legal documentation, and product issues
- Drive campaigns and commercialization activities with marketing
b. Liquidity Management (LM) :
Manage P&L of LM product portfolioFormulate value proposition and lead new LM product rolloutsExecute LM strategy to acquire new mandates and customersManage LM product pricing, positioning, and client presentationsEngage sales and relationship managers to develop LM deals pipelineManage LM product T&C negotiation with clientsEnsure timely delivery, commercialization, and implementation of LM products and servicesConduct user testing and verification for LM solutionsUndertake competitor analysis and establish LM product positioning strategyEnsure LM product capabilities are communicated across the organizationRequirements
Bachelor’s degree in areas of Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or related majors preferredMinimum 5 years of relevant banking experience with strong commercial acumenExperience in product development and commercialisationKnowledge in Account Services, Liabilities and Liquidity Management productKnowledge of China cash management regulations / experience of having implemented Cross-border LM solutions with China would be a plusStrong data analytical skills with ability to identify trends, make business conclusions and provide actionable insights from dataExcellent communication, relationship & people skills to build relationships with key stakeholders and influence stakeholders to take actionsExcellent command of written and spoken English. Fluent Cantonese and Mandarin would be preferredPrimary Location
