The Job
You will :
- Act as a key support system to the Senior Manager in the development and execution of decarbonisation initiatives. Assist in creating and implementing strategies, coordinating teams, and tracking progress towards decarbonization goals
- Collect and analyse data related to carbon emissions, energy consumption, and other sustainability metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and help develop strategies to reduce the Club's carbon footprint. Prepare reports and communicate findings to the Senior Manager and relevant stakeholders
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, policies, and industry best practices related to decarbonisation, identify innovative solutions and recommend actionable steps to reduce carbon emissions
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of decarbonization initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with relevant industry partners, government agencies, and community organizations
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of decarbonization projects. Monitor and report progress to the Senior Manager, providing regular updates on milestones, challenges, and successes
- Plan and execute training sessions for Property employees on decarbonisation strategies, sustainable practices, and energy conservation to foster a sustainability culture within Property, providing guidance and support across Property Teams. Also involves coordinating educational and outreach programmes to raise awareness, engage employees, and drive behavioural change within Property
- Prepare budget proposals and funding applications for decarbonisation projects, ensuring compliance with budgeting guidelines and deadlines, and managing budgets to monitor expenditure, track financial performance, and ensure cost-effective resource utilisation
- Oversee and manage multiple decarbonisation projects simultaneously. Develop project plans, define milestones, allocate resources, and monitor progress. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
About You
You should have :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental studies, sustainability, engineering, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree in a related field is preferred demonstrating a mature understanding of implementing sustainability programs in a large for-profit organisation.Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in sustainability, decarbonisation, or related fields is required. Previous experience in project management and team coordination is highly desirable.Experience in developing and implementing communication, engagement, and training programs.Capability to set up systems, and procedures to ensure changes are implemented.Existing relationships with sustainability organisations in China and Hong Kong, desirable.Experience in executive engagement.Experience in managing peopleStrong understanding of climate change, decarbonisation strategies such as energy efficiency initiatives, sustainability practices, and relevant industry standards. Familiarity with policies and regulations related to decarbonisation in Hong Kong is a plus.Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion. Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills are essential.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with government bodies, industry associations, and community organisations is desirable.Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to identify trends and insights. Experience in using data analysis tools and software for sustainability reporting is advantageous.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams towards common objectives. Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution abilities, and the capacity to motivate others.Willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment and take initiative to drive decarbonisation initiatives forward. Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to think critically.Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is requiredTerms of Employment
