Our client, a Fortune 500 company, is now seeking a strong and talented Senior Financial Systems Analyst (Contract) to join their Financial System team to support their Financial Systems for this region.

Reporting to Financial System Manager, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst plays a primary support role within the organization responsible for the support of PeopleSoft Financial & Hyperion Solutions for the Asia Pacific Region.

This position is responsible for system project implementation and support. He / She analyses and plans tasks identified in the project plan, and liaises with user groups and technical partners (internal and external) to execute the tasks. As part of the execution process, the position holder evaluates alternatives, performs tests, prepares documentation and provides suggestions to management team of Financial Systems.

Responsibilities :

Including Production Functional Support; Process Improvement; System Project Analysis and Coordination & SOX Security & Internal Control

Production Support

  • Acts as primary contact of user community to handle service requests from users and resolve system irregularity / issue of financial systems covered by Financial System Team.
  • Performs QA testing of system change requests and coordinates end-user testing.
  • Plans, coordinates and delivers system training to user community. Keeps training manual up-to-date and maintains knowledge base for the Financial System Team.

Process Improvement

  • Based on objective identified, assists Financial System Manager to study and collect details of the current process flows, develop new approaches and strategies, perform tests, and train users.

    • System Project Analysis and Coordination

  • Analysis - interviews with user groups to collect requirements and identify factors for consideration; performs analysis of business processes.
  • Task Planning - determines tasks to be performed at different stages of the plan
  • Coordination - coordinates with relevant parties to make system resource available for user groups to carry out the tasks
  • Execution - communicates to and guides user groups to carry out the tasks identified, and constantly provides status update
  • Review - summarizes results of execution stage and reviews degree of completion of task; suggests for further action
  • Administration - prepares documentation for communication of project status; compiles training manual for training & support / maintenance purposes

    • SOX Security & Internal Control

  • Coordinates quarterly security review for all key financial systems in Asia
  • Partners with Financial Compliance to implement and administrate the Application Access Audit (AAA) tool for SOX significant financial systems.

    • Requirements

  • University degree in IS, IT related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar role
  • Solid experience in system project implementation and user support
  • Experience in providing PeopleSoft Financials functional support is preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Office macro
  • Knowledge of Hyperion applications
  • Knowledge of the software used in the project and accounting knowledge a plus
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Strong communication, presentation skills and is a good team player
  • Good time management, detail oriented an ability to meet deadlines
  • Candidate with lesser experiences can be considered as Financial System Analyst
